Torcross Information

Torcross is a very quiet village in the South Hams area of South Devon. If you come via Dartmouth on the A379 you will drive along a 3 mile stretch of road between the Slapton Sands Beach and Slapton Leys Nature Reserve . The Views are stunning. A Salvaged tank stands in the village in memorial of an engagement back in 1944. The Village itself as well as The Luxury Apartments of the At The Beach complex offers a pub called the Start Bay Inn which offers great food including locally caught fish. The pub is very popular so if your staying in the area get there early to get yourself a table. There is also a restaurant called The Torcross Boat House, a cafe called The Rocket. The village also has a post office/ shop which is the only real place to buy food without having to travel in the car too much. Torcross Map .
